The historic Redondo Beach Public Library is a beloved iconic building from 1930 in Veteran’s Park along the coastline of Redondo Beach. This project focuses on accessibility improvements to the historic building based upon the requirements of its new adaptive reuse as an event space. A survey and report by CASp was the first task for this project in order to help the City prioritize and determine necessary accessibility improvements to the building.

Phase II of the project will include developing drawings for work related to these improvements that the City can undertake. The project will provide for accessible entrance into the building with a new ramp addition sensitively added to the front of the building and various path of travel required improvements.
