The Ticketing Concourse Restroom project at Los Angeles Union Station reconfigured the existing first floor restrooms off of the historic Ticketing Concourse to resolve accessibility issues and deficient plumbing fixture counts. The historic Ticketing Concourse Ante Rooms connecting the Ticketing Concourse to the new restrooms were preserved and integrated into the new plan design to provide more flexibility and access to Special Events guest amenity spaces.

To improve accessibility issues and increase plumbing fixture counts, restrooms were expanded into space that was originally the public restrooms for the station but had been converted into office space in later years. A new Guest Hallway now connects the existing ante rooms and joins the restroom spaces, creating space for a new janitor’s closet, a new drinking fountain/ water dispenser alcove, and full-length mirrors for additional preparation space behind the main Ticketing Concourse event space.

Infrastructure improvements included updates to electrical and plumbing and re-ducting of the mechanical system to accommodate the new spaces. Custom pendants for the Guest Hallway were inspired by the historic chandeliers in the Ticketing Concourse.
